So... We bought a popup camper

Mother nature came along and wrecked my pickup truck.  It wasn't a great truck, and I didn't drive it anymore (Our daughter Mary drives it now), but I liked it.

Well, the insurance promptly declared it totaled and cut me a check.

These things make a hell of a dent when they hit at 60 mph

Well, we've always wanted to have a travel trailer.  Unfortunately, our little Kia Sedona won't pull a travel trailer.  It will pull a pop up camper though.  After viewing several  used campers, we found this (or one very much like it  For reasons i'll explain later, I was not able to take pictures of the one I bought so I had to find these on the web).

It's a 2006 Jayco 806 Jay Series. It say's it'll sleep 6 people.  I seriously doubt that.  Maybe in shifts. We're only going to be sleeping 2 most of the time.  And 2 dogs.  Maybe Mary will join us on the occasional trip?

So the reason I don't have any photo's yet is that we are expecting more storms this next week, and Julie's van is going to be in the garage.  As our HOA doesn't allow for campers to be parked on the property, I had to rent a storage area and park it there.  I have it wrapped up in tarpaulins, with an old memory foam pad protecting the roof and AC.

I hope nothing happens to it...
